Visit Support Worker

This position is being offered with a $1500 Sign On Bonus for Full Time, pro-rated for Part Time, paid upon successful completion of one year’s employment

We are seeking several part-time Visit Support Workers (with the potential for full time depending on your availability/flexibility) to supervise visits between youth who are in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services and their family members. The VSW supervises visits, providing structure and guidance to visit participants, in one of our Family Visitation Centers, within families’ homes, or within the community as determined by the Family Plan. The VSW plays an important role in helping families work toward reunification. VSW’s must have reliable transportation and a State of Maine driver’s license to provide transportation for youth to and from visits as necessary. Multiple shifts are available with peak hours being between 2pm and 7pm Mon-Fri. This is an ideal position if you are looking to supplement your current income and/or to have shifts that can accommodate your school or work schedule. We are also flexible with the number of hours worked per week!

Minimum qualifications:

· Minimum of 18 years of age or older;
· Minimum of a high school diploma/GED;
· 6 months of experience working with children and families.

Behavioral Health Professional

Community Care voted one of the Best Places to Work in Maine, is seeking Behavioral Support Professionals (BHP) in the following areas to provide in-home support to children and their families to assist in meeting the mental health needs of the child. The BHP will be that of a Support Worker, providing one-to-one skill building with children.  BHP Training and certification is provided by Community Care. 
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and experience working with children and families in either a paid or volunteer position.
The hourly wage for this position is $16 to $17 per hour.

Family Integration Specialist

ARP Case Manager

Community Care voted one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for the past 6 years, is seeking a caring and motivated individual to conduct safety assessments through investigative casework and provide support to families in our Alternative Response Program (ARP).  ARP provides support to families referred by DHHS due to reports of low to moderate child abuse and neglect. The Case Manager conducts a thorough assessment of risk, facilitates Family Team Meetings to develop a family plan, and provides support to assist the family in reaching goals.  Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; LSW or LSW conditional or eligible for licensure preferred but not required; experience supporting families.

Adult Services Case Manager

We are seeking caring and motivated individuals to provide community integration for adults coping with mental health symptoms in the Bangor area. This position provides case management consultation, skill teaching, development of strategies to make family life less stressful, and advocacy/coordination for service needs in an effort to reduce cycles of instability in the lives of those affected by mental illness.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma and must possess MHRT/c certification (provisional certification level acceptable); A total of one year of experience supporting adults with mental illness.

Clinical Therapist

The clinician will provide a high level of clinical support to youth and families within home and community settings through the Community Family Support Services program in collaboration with a bachelor-level support worker. The clinician will also have the opportunity to provide outpatient mental health services to a diverse group of individuals including adults and children within families’ homes, as well as the possible opportunity to provide mental health counseling to youth within school settings in the Bangor/Millinocket areas. Must be able to meet the diverse clinical needs of a broad range of individuals of various ages and assist in providing referrals to ensure appropriate service delivery for each individual.  
Minimum Qualifications: LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, or Ph.D., Currently licensed or otherwise recognized as qualified by the state of Maine in the disciplines required for the children served by the program.  Will accept LMSW Conditional II or LCPC Conditional under the provision that individual will be fully licensed within the time frame defined by supervisor. M.S./M.S.N. (masters level psychiatric nurse) licensed in the State of Maine (or eligible).  Experience supporting children and families in either a paid or volunteer setting.

Hospital Support Worker

Community Care, voted one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for the past 6 years, is seeking a part-time Hospital Support Worker (HSW) to monitor children/youth who are being assessed at local hospitals as a result of experiencing a mental health crisis. This is a “hands-off” position that is only responsible to monitor the youth, much like a parent would while in the hospital with their child, and does not require physical interventions during escalation. Escalations of youth are the responsibility of the hospital employees. There is no medical experience needed for this position and the HSW will not be responsible for any type of medical care. The position will be based in Bangor but travel to other hospitals within a one-hour radius will be required. Travel time is paid and there is a per-mile reimbursement rate that is also paid to the employee. Monitoring shifts will be evenings, overnights, and weekends with a variety of schedules. The position does require a level of flexibility within these time frames. If there are no children/youth requiring monitoring during your scheduled shifts, you are able to be at home while waiting to be called in, and be paid for that time!
Experience working with children/youth and a high school diploma is required.

Administrative Assistant

The AA is an integral part of the agency’s central support team, providing administrative assistance to all of the programs of the agency.  The person in this position must be highly organized, work well as a member of a team, exercise excellent time management skills, and be adept at using multiple software programs.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience providing administrative support to an agency/business and experience working with individuals with mental health issues.

Clinical Supervisor

Community Care is seeking a full-time clinician in Bangor to provide clinical supervision to our Adult Case Management program; facilitate group supervisions; complete eligibility assessments, review treatment plans and Continued Stay Reviews; provide training to staff. Assessments are completed through a combination of in person and telehealth.

Minimum Qualifications: Clinical Licensure, eligibility for MHRT/C, experience working with children/families/adults.

Family Visitation Program Supervisor

Community Care is seeking a full-time Supervisor to supervise the Family Visitation Program in Kennebec/Waldo/Knox/Lincoln Counties. This position would be based in Augusta but travel to the other locations would be necessary. The Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and supporting Visit Support Workers, reviewing and assigning visitation referrals, assisting in supervising visits when necessary, overseeing the visitation centers, reviewing documentation, and working as a member of a team to manage the Family Visitation Program. They will have availability during the peak hours of 2-7pm Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to adjust work hours as necessary to meet the needs of the program. An agency cell phone and laptop are provided.

Scheduler-Family Visitation Program

Community Care is excited to announce that we are now providing supervised visitation services for families! The Scheduler will be responsible for setting and maintaining the visit schedules for employees across multiple offices. The Scheduler will collaborate with the supervisors, employees, birth parents, resource parents, and DHHS to ensure that families are provided with visits in a timely and consistent manner. This position will also provide general office support and coverage for Visit Workers as needed. The person in this position must be highly organized, flexible, present in a professional manner, and have excellent communication skills. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, from approximately 9:30am to 6pm but flexibility will be required, and the position will be office based. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma with Associate’s Degree preferred, at least 3 years of relevant experience including specific experience with scheduling.
